Ceramic tiles are popularly used in household projects. They are made from clay material which is fired and shaped to form the hard and durable tile. This stone has remarkable features and comes in untreated and glazed form. These clays and natural minerals are found inside the earth crust. Their varied composition renders beauty to the stone.

These days, ceramic is available with various features. Each tile adds character to the household arrangement. You can cut and reshape the tile according to your design. Some ceramic tiles are installed in diagonal pattern to create difference from regular square patterns. Bold ceramic tile are catching huge attention as they add contemporary feel to the project.

Some people prefer glaze tiles over untreated tiles. The glazed tiles have an unmatchable beauty and their shine is a grand treat for viewers. The glaze is sprayed, dropped or silver screened on the tile surface. Later on, it is kiln fired to a specific temperature. This heat hardens the glaze on untreated ceramic tile. This glaze is made from minerals like gold, zinc, copper, cobalt, silver etc.

The glazing process has significant effect on the properties of ceramic tile. It alters the hardness and wearing intensity of the tile. It is proven that high kiln temperature leads to increased hardness of the stone. Hence, the kiln temperature should be altered according to the hardness of tile material. This feature brings remarkable changes in the endurance level of the tile.

Experts also state that dark colored glaze gets warred out easily. Colors like blue, red, yellow and black should be avoided while glazing the ceramic tiles. Builders should purchase matte or satin finished ceramic tiles to add longevity to their installation. The shiny glaze is prone to easy deterioration, so avoid it.

Hence, it is important to learn the fact that glazed ceramic tiles are highly affected by the temperature, color and gloss levels of the glaze process.

Reinforced concrete columns are mainly used to carry loads of a building. They transfer these loads to a suitable safe soil bearing capacity. Sometimes a building may have only the load bearing walls. These structure may not safely carry an additional floor above. The house may also need a roof change from light weight materials like galvanized iron sheets to the heavier concrete or clay roofing tiles. These will necessitate more bracing of the unit to carry these additional loads.

The reinforced concrete columns in a building can be finished using plaster render, cladding’s or left with the concrete color. Whatever the finish, it should give good aesthetics to the wall facades. These columns may be erected free standing or within the building fabric. They may have the usual rectangular or square shape, though it may also have the circular shape. It is important to assess the points where to erect columns. This is so that all the necessary supports are put in place before any cuttings are done safely.

The procedure of adding reinforced concrete columns, is by marking out all the points to add columns. The walls and roofs are supported using props and bracing. The columns should be place at all building corners and any load bearing walls intersections. The wall is cut carefully up to the beam level. Concrete at the roof beam level is hacked and removed to expose the reinforcements. The wall opening should have a masonry toothing. A pit is excavated for the foundation base and column starter bars. The base and the column is then cast and vibrated well.

The column starter is cured after seven days. Additional reinforcement is added to the roof level and joined with the beam steel. Hoop iron is done at alternate courses passing through the steel from both the wall ends. This is to allow the wall to be strengthened after the cutting. Form work is then done. Concrete is cast and vibrated. The form work is removed after seven days of curing. The process is repeated at every point where they will be a reinforced concrete column. The appropriate finish is then done to match with the existing wall surface facades.

This is a really powerful machine. It has the same engine as the 420 model, which is a hefty 56.5 cc power unit. It puts out over three and half horsepower and this is put to good use in creating a blower air speed of 181 miles per hour with a volume of air moved of 465 cubic feet per minute. These measurements are taken at the end of the tube which means that this is exactly what hits the leaves when you aim the tool at them. The main difference between this machine and the 420 is that it has a smaller tube diameter. This has the effect of creating a faster air speed.

This faster air speed means that it can break up clumps of leaves and then the 465 CFM keeps them moving. It doesn’t matter if the leaves are wet or dry this blower shifts them all the same. As well as leaves this machine is perfect for moving grass cuttings. It can easily move large piles of fresh grass cuttings even if they are wet.

It is a very high quality tool which should last a long time. The two stroke engine is manufactured with dual piston rings, chrome lined cylinder bore and a forged crank shaft. These all help to give it a long service life. It is also designed to be easily and quickly serviced.

The blower has a translucent fuel tank so that the level can easily be seen. The tank holds one and a half liters of fuel. This is made up to the usual fifty to one gas to oil mixture ratio for 2 stroke engines. A full tank will give about ninety minutes of work time, even if the blower is used at full throttle. Compared with other smaller engine models it could be considered as being a bit of a gas guzzler. Never the less the engine has reduced emissions compared to earlier versions.

The BR380 Stihl backpack blower is reasonably easy to start. When cold it can take four to five pulls and when warm one to two pulls. There is no primer for the fuel and this may explain the extra pulls needed. Once going it runs very smoothly and accelerates quickly without hesitation, even when cold. Considering its ability it is reasonably quiet creating a noise level of 73db. You can get a vacuum kit and a spray conversion kit to make this tool even more versatile.

In terms of ergonomics the straps and back pad are very comfortable and it is easy enough to put on. The machine weighs just over 20lb which means that it can get to feel a little heavy after you have used it for a while. The easy grip throttle is trigger operated and is positioned on a handle attached to the down tube for easy access. There is also an on off switch and cruise control which means that you can set the power you want to use and don’t have to keep the trigger held all of the time. There is a built in top carry handle and tool holder.  It can be a little difficult to use in confined spaces. However in wide open areas it is very easy to use and very powerful.

If you are looking for a professional, powerful, comfortable and easy to use backpack leaf blower that gives you the most blow for your buck then this could be the one for you. It easily copes with grass clippings and light to moderate leaf clean up and is manufactured using quality parts which give it a long service life. Yes, you really need to feel the power.

A leaf blower is for working and not resting in the corner of your garage broken or useless. Making the right choice is therefore important. For full details on leaf blower choices and the ratings that are important you should take a look at TJS Vincent’s web site. You should then be able to choose your leaf blower with confidence STIHL backpack Blower
