Overall, make sure that you are constantly aware of your space limitations. Try to find furniture that is a bit smaller than normal because it will look like a normal size in comparison when it is placed in a small space. Always remember that with a small space comes the huge advantage that you will save yourself a ton of money because in general the smaller a piece of furniture the less it will cost.
Avoid excess furniture such as coffee tables or serving tables. They will only take up more space. Even though a bar might seem like a great idea, most mobile homes do not have the space to pull it off.
One common mistake that mobile home owners make is buying a table that seats 6 people. In general, your home will look much larger if your table only seats 4. This can be an annoyance, but folding tables and folding chairs are pretty cheap so you may want to consider this alternative.
Make sure that you avoid using bright colors in your mobile home. As with any small space, a bright color is going to make it look smaller than it really is. Instead, consider going with neutral wall colors to make your space look larger.
This first thing you need to remember when you are decorating a small space is that you need to avoid clutter at all costs. In addition, you can be happy because decorating a small space means spending less money as you do not have to buy all the home accessories that you will find in the larger houses. Keep it simple when decorating a mobile home. Get a couch that is the right size for the space rather than a huge l-shaped couch that takes up 2 of your walls.
Just because they are known for being small does not mean that mobile homes cannot have the same level of style as any other home. Think of decorating your mobile home as decorating any other small space. There is a fantastic store out there for this called Ikea. It is relatively inexpensive and it is designed specifically for small spaces. In addition, it is an international store that can be found all over the world.
Your bedroom is now easier than ever to decorate with a bed in a bag. bed in a bags are an inexpensive alternative to redoing your entire bedroom.

If you want to give your old bathroom a brand new look, but you’ve never done a bathroom remodeling job before and don’t know where to start, there’s no need to worry. Remodeling your bathroom can be a rewarding undertaking that doesn’t have to involve too many hassles or expensive contractors. Here are just a few simple and easy upgrades you can implement in your bathroom that will make a huge difference without costing you too much trouble and money.
New Lighting
Lighting is one of the most important elements in terms of how your bathroom looks. If you’re bathroom light fixtures are outdated and worn, replacing them will make a huge difference in how your bathroom looks. When replacing or installing new lights, remember to make sure that they are providing enough illumination from above and from the sides.
Refacing your bathroom cabinets
Because they are one of the most prominent features of your bathroom, your bathroom cabinets make a huge impact on overall look and feel of your bathroom’s design. Replacing your cabinet drawer and door fronts can be a great way to give your bathroom new life and style. Add some new decorative hardware to the mix and you can add a touch of subtle elegance and cohesion.
Adding Color to the Walls
Painting your bathroom walls can be a quick and easy way to completely redo the look of your bathroom. Since most bathroom fixtures are white, off-white or silver, light, bright colors are best for bathroom walls. Lime green or a soft blue are good examples.
Add Decorative Tile
You don’t have to completely tile your walls to implement tile elements into your bathroom design. Adding a simple decorative tile lining to your walls or a tile design on the central focal point of each wall is a great way to give your walls some elegance and style without completely tearing them down and rebuilding them.

Repairing wood surfaces at home is done on doors, floors, ceilings and other timber materials. This can be of soft or hard wood material. The normal use of a home through opening, closing or walking on wood surfaces causes the finish to wear out. This can be paint, varnish or polish finishes applied to the surfaces. The repair can be done carefully on timber to give it a new look. Other surfaces that can wear out due to weather are walls, fascias and window boards.
When repairing wood surfaces in a home, the type of timber will determine the method to use. Hard wood surfaces are usually finished with lacquer. However the soft wood surfaces are finished with either oil or emulsion paints. The usual defects or signs are marks, scratches, dents, weathering and abrasion. Each sign is treated differently because the final finish should return the surface to its original color and sheen. The color and hue can be enhanced by dyes and timber stains.
The repair of wood surfaces commences with fixing any loose joints, cracks and splits. The surface scratches and abrasions are then rubbed down with steel wool dipped in denatured alcohol or sand paper. After clearing the marks and stains, next is to fill them. Before filling the dust is brushed off the wood carefully. Turpentine on a clothe is ideal for ensuring the dust is completely removed. If stain removers are used, ensure that the manufacturers instructions are followed.
The scars and dents that are shallow can be raised using a clothe and hot iron box running over. The weather or dark stains are tuned to the desired shade using a stain. The crack filler is also used on severe cracks. It is important to open up the grains of hardwood so that it can have a uniform lacquer finish. This is then rubbed down using a soft sand paper after it has hardened. The polish or paint is then applied in three coats to give the desired effects.
