LG Shows Seven New Home Appliances at IFA 2026

LG detailed seven new home appliances at its IFA 2026 stand in Berlin, according to a release published on LG’s own global newsroom on 4 September 2026. The lineup spans a refrigerator with voice AI, a washer LG says uses up to 70% less energy than the minimum required for an A-grade rating in Europe, and LG’s first hair dryer.

What did LG show?

The headline product is a next-generation LG SIGNATURE refrigerator built around a large language model (LLM) for natural-language voice interaction. LG’s release says visitors to the booth could talk to the fridge for guidance on how to store ingredients, a feature the company frames as part of its wider “AI Home” push rather than a shipping consumer feature yet. No price or on-sale date was given for this model.

More concretely dated is a new washer and dryer pair under LG’s “Fit & Max” branding. LG states the washer, “scheduled for a European launch this year,” uses up to 70% less energy than the minimum threshold for an A-grade rating on the current EU energy-label scale, and pairs with a dryer that itself achieves an A-grade rating. Both use LG’s Direct Drive Motor and Dual Inverter Heat Pump technology; LG says the motor has been independently certified by TÜV Rheinland for up to 30 years of use.

What else is in the Fit & Max range?

Alongside the washer and dryer, LG showed a 25-inch WashTower, a single-body washer-dryer unit sized between its existing 24-inch and 27-inch models specifically for European room layouts. LG says its WashTower line has sold more than 3.2 million units worldwide to date.

A Fit & Max French-door refrigerator uses what LG calls a “Zero Clearance” design to sit flush against surrounding cabinetry, with a 6.8-inch display and a “Dual FRESHConverter+” compartment that can be set to different preset temperature modes for different food types. LG says this model has won a 2026 iF Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award.

A matching Fit & Max dishwasher completes a wash-and-dry cycle in one hour, using micro-bubble jets LG calls “QuadWash Pro” and a turbidity sensor (“AI SenseClean”) that reads how dirty the water is and adjusts water temperature, cycle length and detergent amount accordingly. LG states that key models across the new dishwasher lineup, spanning both premium and volume price points, reach an A-grade energy rating.

Two products outside the kitchen

LG also introduced its first hair dryer, the AirDew, built around what the company calls Triple Airfluidics technology, designed to generate a high-velocity, multi-directional airflow for faster drying. LG says an “AirGlide” brush attachment and temperature control work together to reduce heat exposure while styling. No price was given.

The seventh product is a next-generation LG SIGNATURE downdraft hood, an extractor built into the worktop rather than mounted overhead, with a motion sensor for touch-free control of extraction power. LG positions it as a way to keep a kitchen’s sightlines clear of an overhead hood.

What’s still unconfirmed

LG’s release is a booth-showcase announcement, not a full retail launch. Beyond the washer’s “later in 2026” European target, none of the seven products carries a confirmed EU or UK price, on-sale date, or full model number in LG’s own text. The voice-controlled SIGNATURE fridge in particular reads as a technology demonstration, and LG does not commit it to a near-term release.
