NEFF Adds Crystal Clean Zone Glass Spray to N70, N90 Dishwashers

NEFF introduced the Crystal Clean Zone on 19 September 2026: an extra spray zone in the upper basket of its 60 cm dishwashers, designed specifically for glassware. NEFF says the models “will be available in September 2026”. The press release gives no prices and no list of model codes.

The feature is already visible on NEFF’s German site. The N90 fully integrated model S189ECX0ME has a product page describing Crystal Clean Zone with six nozzles for glasses, and the German category page carries a teaser for it. NEFF’s German site shows no recommended retail price for that model.

What does the Crystal Clean Zone do?

NEFF describes a zone that is activated during loading with a manual on/off switch (a slide switch, per NEFF’s German site). It has six patented nozzles that create constant V-shaped spray jets. NEFF says these clean every glass type from rim to base, from standard tumblers to the tallest, slimmest champagne flutes.

The practical idea is simple. Glassware is where a dishwasher’s reach matters most, and a dedicated zone is NEFF’s answer: glasses are loaded in the upper basket and receive targeted jets. Whether it works as NEFF describes has not been tested independently, and we have seen no independent results.

Which models get it, and how do they differ?

NEFF says the feature comes to various N70 and N90 dishwashers, offered in three combinations of energy efficiency, noise and drying:

• Most energy-efficient: rated “A-10%”. This is NEFF’s own term for models at least 10% more efficient than the class A limit. NEFF’s footnote puts these at 48.6 kWh per 100 cycles, against a class A limit of 54 kWh per 100 cycles under delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2017 (energy label) and 2019/2022 (ecodesign).
• Quietest: energy class A, 38 dB.
• Zeolith drying: energy class A, 40 dB.

The S189ECX0ME page lists energy class A, 54 kWh per 100 cycles for the Eco 50 degrees Celsius programme (0.543 kWh per cycle), sound power of 38 dB(A) re 1 pW, noise class A, 14 place settings and an eco programme duration of 4:55 h. These are NEFF’s declared values, not measurements by us.

What do we not know?

NEFF has not published a full list of models that carry the feature. It has given no UK price and no UK availability date, and the press release gives no prices at all. “September 2026” is NEFF’s own statement about availability, and the release does not say where. We also do not know which model codes sit in each of the three variants.

What should a shopper do?

If glassware is the reason to upgrade, look at dishwashers with the Crystal Clean Zone once model codes appear, and check the exact model code and its EU data sheet before buying, because NEFF has not published the list.

The three variants trade energy use, noise and drying, so decide which matters most. The class A limit gives a concrete benchmark: 54 kWh per 100 cycles, against NEFF’s claimed 48.6 for the A-10% models. Our guide to the EU energy label explains how to read the class and the figures.
