NEFF Unveils Matt Black Design Range: Hood First, Ovens 2027

NEFF, BSH’s built-in appliance brand, presented a complete Matt Black Design range on 19 September 2026, and the rollout is staggered. According to NEFF, the hobs are already on the market, the inclined hood launches in September 2026, and the ovens, drawers and built-in coffee machine follow in January 2027. NEFF has published no prices for any of it.

The hobs are not new. NEFF’s own 21 April 2026 release says its matt black venting hobs have been available since June 2025. The news is the matching set around them and the dates for the rest.

What is in the Matt Black Design range?

NEFF says the range follows the trend for matt kitchen furniture, and that the finish reflects very little light. It covers ovens, a fully automatic built-in coffee machine, a warming drawer, a steam drawer, induction and venting hobs, and an inclined hood, all designed to be combined.

NEFF’s product overview lists 12 hobs: 7 induction (for example T68YYV4B0) and 5 venting (for example V68YYX4B0). Other named models include the oven with added steam function B69VY7MM0, the oven B59CR7KM0 and the coffee machine CL9TX11YM0.

Do matt surfaces really hide marks?

NEFF claims greasy fingerprints and streaks are much less noticeable on its matt hobs, and that scratches from moving cookware, salt or sugar are “5 times less visible” than on glossy hobs. Treat that as a manufacturer claim: NEFF’s footnote says it rests on an internal lab comparison of Schott’s CERAN matte line against standard glass-ceramic, and that it is a subjective comparison by single persons because measurement was not possible. NEFF UK separately describes the finish as low-maintenance, and NEFF says the surfaces wipe clean with a gentle cleaning agent or even glass cleaner.

What do the ovens, hood and hobs add?

Ovens. Functions include baking, roasting, hot-air frying, microwave cooking and steaming. The Slide&Hide door, which slides away under the oven, is retained. All use a TFT touchscreen that stays glossy for readability against the matt body. NEFF says the matt ovens are as scratch-resistant as glossy ones. Top N90 models get Flex Control: the touchscreen and/or the magnetic Twist Pad Flex, which NEFF sells separately. It also works on hobs and coffee machines.

Hood. The inclined hood D85ICN1B5 has a deep, light-absorbing black finish and a glossy touch panel. Its Smart Hood Automatic adjusts extraction power to the hob settings, but only if both hood and hob are connected to a NEFF Home Connect account, which needs internet, a registered account and the app. Selected decorative box hoods and integrated design hoods also get a matching matt finish.

Hobs. Flex Zones detect pot size, shape and position and move the settings if the pot moves. NEFF says its Extended Frying Sensor holds temperature between 70 and 220 degrees Celsius, and that its Extra Long Intuitive Flex Zones are 25% larger; per NEFF, those have been available since September 2025 exclusively on the matt venting hobs.

Combining. NEFF’s Seamless Combination system uses side trims and an intermediate shelf so stacked appliances look like one unit. Flex Design side trims for the hobs are accessories in four colours.

What should a shopper do?

Only the hobs can be bought now, so anyone renovating can look at hobs today. If the plan calls for a matched matt black hood, wait for the September 2026 launch and check the extractor hoods listings. The ovens and the coffee machine are not due until January 2027, so a complete matched column cannot be bought before then. Budget for the accessories separately, since NEFF sells the Twist Pad Flex and the trims apart from the appliances. Pricing is unknown, and the scratch claim comes from NEFF’s own subjective test, so see a matt surface in person first.
